چکیده
Both the safety and effectiveness of intrathecal tigecycline (TGC) for treatment infections central nervous system (CNS) are discussed using clinical findings from a study recent patient who came to our attention, along with literature review. Although penetration into CNS is low (approximately 11%), intraventricular TGC could help treat patients severe post- neurosurgical infections. The use multiple routes administration appears be encouraging should considered in managing life-threatening

In this investigation the effects of excess vitamin A administration during the early embryonic period were studied. Intramuscular injection of a single dose of 15000,20000 or 25000 IU/kg vitamin A to pregnant Balb/c strain mice on either day 7,8,9 or 10 of gestation (vaginal plug= day 0 of gestation) produced major malformations in the central nervous system (CNS) including exencephaly, h...
متن کاملImmunopathogenesis of central nervous system fungal infections.
Fungal infections of the central nervous system (CNS) evoke humoral and cellular immune responses with the scope to enable the host to eliminate the pathogen. Immunopathogenesis of CNS fungal infections remains incompletely understood, with most of our understanding coming from studies on experimentally infected animals. However, activation of brain resident cells combined with relative express...
